  • DMC Records is closed – forever!

Hey we had a blast over the last 20 years but things had to end sometime….

Heartfelt thanks to all who have supported us, we wish you all the best in your DJ and music production careers.

    Special mention to all our dedicated staff who have manned (and womanned) the store, trained the students  and our ran distribution department down the years;
    (In approximate order of service)

Ivan Gough – Became rather famous as TV rock, likes curries
Phil K – (Still) The innovator – internationally renowned
Les Toth – The Legend, say no more. Bit mad tho’
    Atom 1 – Melbourne’s original Drum & Bass don
Twisty – quite possibly m-towns first D&B MC
Ozzie L.A – The Gentleman- lover of  fine wine, women and smooth mixes
Gab Oliver – Godfather of depth, prolific artist on our Zero Tolerance label
Grant Dell – Random UK Tech-house blow-in, could be rude to customers
Sean Joyce – Manchesters number one Masters at Work fan, excitable
Tom Mangan – Another UK blow-in who went on to do big things back in the UK
Frankie D – Another gent who always had the ladies chasing after him – pity he never threw a few our way
Kate S – Knowledgeable queen of the techno scene
Gavin Keitel – Yet another top chap and no slouch behind the decks either
Kaybee – Young recruit who quickly proved he could mix it with the big guns
Lance Harrison – The Rock – solid and dependable, stuck it out for almost ten years
Samantha Cameron – Took the DMC championships up several notches and kept Stew on his toes!
Luke Moylan – Country boy who came to the city but kept thinking about the bush…..any bush
Fred Barany – Fathered 4 children and several mixtapes
Glenn Harrison – Hari Krishna devotee who brought tranquility to the distro dept.
Jono Fernandez – He’s moved to Sydney but we won’t hold that against him
Susie Bailey – Had distro locked down after Glenn went to India
Karl Stanton – DJ Lynt – now in New York earning megabucks, loved his breakbeats
Virginia Le – Pulled more blokes into the shop than a new white label from Moodymann
Damien Laird – Strange dude. Funny, but def strange. Could DJ too.
Joe Seven – Pudgy Northener capable of turning out a cracking tune or two. Could be funny.
Dave Pham – Bit lost but had his moments and really knew his stuff on the wax front
Mike Callander – Dapper chap, diplomatic and knowledgeable, Melbs numero uno techno mover and shaker
Johan Elgstrom – DJ Nubody a.k.a the Swedish bombshell, will carry the torch onwards as Bounce Audio, stay tuned
Griff a.k.a Francis Inferno Orchestra – Loose as a  Goose but funny with it, can also write tunes
Maryos a.k.a 50% of Sleep D – Destined for big things, wouldn’t be the first DJ/Producer from Frankston to do well

If we’ve missed anyone apologies, a lot of the time we were out of it

    Au Revoir!
