What is an Ableton Certified Trainer?

An Ableton Certified Trainer (ACT) is an Ableton Live expert who communicates technical information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. To ensure ACTs have the instructional skills and technical competency to deliver quality training, Ableton requires all trainers to successfully complete the Ableton Trainer Certification event. During the trainer certification, instructors must demonstrate their expertise in Ableton Live and music production, as well as instructional presentation skills.

Livetek’s Certified Trainer is Adrian Pickard, a DJ/Producer from Manchester, UK, now residing in Melbourne, Australia. The former head of the Technics DJ Academy, Adrian was one of the first Officially Certified Ableton Trainers in the World, and runs LiveTek, a dedicated digital DJ and electronic music production company, endorsed by Novation, KRK and AKAI Professional.

Having released on Elektek recordings and been featured alongside industry heavyweights such as James Zabiela, Plump DJs, Meat Katie and James Lavelle, Adrian has worked for Faze 2 International DJ Agency, Unity Radio FM, SSR, Airtight, ATM, Stylus Trouble Records, Method, Reflex Records, and as a product specialist for Focusrite Novation + Ableton.

Livetek + DMC Records offer professional intensive training in all aspects of Ableton Live, endorsed by Novation and Innovative Music, forming the first Ableton Certified Training Centre in Australia.

DMC Records was established way back in 1992 and from humble beginnings has evolved into one of Australia's iconic DJ stores. DMC Records is run by local Melbourne DJ/producers who have over 30 years combined experience in the industry. DMC Records are also one of Australia's leading online DJ equipment retailers, stocking the latest in DJ technology from around the globe.

The courses have been designed to develop and progress your creativity around Livetek's proven methods, based within a fully featured studio environment.

From entry to advanced level, learn to create, produce + perform you’re own music from scratch.

Within DMC’s custom training studio, the course encompasses electronic music production, remixing and DJ techniques, alongside dedicated controllers such as Novation Launchpad, AKAI APC40 and Vestax VCM600, taught by Ableton Certified Trainer + Novation product specialist, Adrian Pickard.
